In Niger, children as young as 7 years old often walk up to 6 miles every day to fetch water for their families. Carefully carrying the heavy container of water so not to spill a drop.

The Irish Red Cross is working to bring safe water closer, so children can go to school instead of walking miles. So that they and their families will be healthy. So they grow crops despite drought. So they can be children.
